Subban with a questionable hit on Krejci

They must feel like it's been months since there was good news in Montreal regarding their beloved Canadiens.

Mike Cammalleri saying the team was playing like losers and then promptly being shipped out of town -- perhaps a coincidence, perhaps not -- to Calgary for Rene Bourque on Thursday night. In the middle of the game. It was just another episode in the gripping soap opera How the Habs Turn.

But that wasn't all the news coming out of the Canadiens camp on Thursday. There was also the loss to the Bruins in Boston and perhaps of P.K. Subban for a couple of games thanks to Rule 48 and Brendan Shanahan's duty to uphold it.

More specifically, David Krejci was moving up the left wing near the benches when Subban came to knock him off the puck. He had the chance to deliver a hit to the body of Krejci but instead came in with his arm raised and it sure looks to me like he made the principal point of contact Krejci's head. You judge for yourself.

After the hit there was also the matter of Subban going into a shell and trying to stay down on the ice when Andrew Ference came in to pay Subban back for the hit. In something that just really smacks of wrong, Ference actually put the Bruins on the penalty kill as a result.

It was on that power play that the Canadiens scored their lone goal of the game.

I don't see how there is much of a way Subban is going to dodge the Shanahammer here. Seems like a pretty clear-cut call for a two-game suspension, possibly three for Subban.

And likely endless taunting every time the Habs meet the Bruins for his turtling.

Subban with a questionable hit on Krejci

Keep turtling Subban and you can spend the rest of your career in Canada. Wake up Canada. You are the deep south of the true north.

You show your ignorance with every text.

You're going to stick up for a guy elbowing another player CLEARLY in the head, but then flood the emergency response lines just because Chara LEGALLY lit up one of your players. Quit whining and learn how to play hockey the right way, maybe your team wouldn't be last in the division, trading the only respectable player they had.

Since Canada's students rank 8th globally in the PISA test scores and the USA ranks a massively distant 23rd, we'll do the thinking, thanks very much.  After all, this represents incontrovertible proof that Americans are much, much, much dumber than Canadians.  Or Estonians.  If you're going to insult a nation's intelligence, try coming from one whose citizens are of average or greater intelligence, which unfortunately isn't the good old USA.

I hate a Claude Lemieux when he's playing for the other team, but you love him when he's one of your guys.  Turtle on, draw those penalties, and take the other guys off thier games, Subban.

Dear quebecdumb,

I am not surprised by your typical Canadien response. Habs are biggest divers and cheap shot artists in the league. The Canucks are a close second. I know the rest of the world is supposed to bow down in reverence to the country that  has produced Alan Thicke (perfect name), Dudley Do-right and Gordon Lightfoot. Keep on eating your Poutine and  drinking your Labatts and leave the thinking to the Americans.

Your superiors from the south.

Quebecdom, the big bad bruins can definitly dish it out and can definitly take it. What I Dont understand is why all those teams north of the border flop and turtle so much against us? I mean between ur beloved le habitants(does ur non French coach know what that means) and the sedin sisters over in Vancouver you folks have all the floppers, crybabies and guys that would rather bite,or turtle rather than defend themselves.

Yup obviously the ''Big Bad Bruins'' can dish it out but can't take it!

Seems like an elbow to me, but I am more bothered by the turtle impression. If you are going to deliver a questionable shot, you should be willing to stand up for your actions.

Good Thing Krajeci Isn't on the Canucks or Vaigneault would be calling for a Lynching and we would have Jesse Jackson and Al (I never met a Cheeseburger I didn't like)  Sharpton Picketing the NHL offices .
